Colonel Deb Rose

Colonel Deb Rose is the Kansas Department of American Legion repetitive
on the board.
Colonel Rose is the Vice Commander, 190th Air Refueling Wing, Forbes
Field, Topeka, Kansas. The 190th Air Refueling Wing is comprised of 970
military members providing global air refueling and airlift in support
of our nation's defense. The Wing has an annual economic impact of 70
million dollars and employs a full-time workforce of approximately 400
personnel. Colonel Rose is responsible for unit readiness to fulfill its
federal, state and community missions. In her position as Vice
Commander, she is very involved in the long-range strategic plan for
both the Wing and the State and serves as a voting member of the State's
Air Executive Council. In the absence of the Commander, Colonel Rose
serves as the Wing Commander.
Colonel Rose entered military service with a direct commission into the
Nurse Corps with the 184th Clinic, 184th Tactical Fighter Group, in
March 1983. She transferred to the 190th Clinic, 190th Air Refueling
Group, in December 1985. In April 1994, she was moved to a line officer
position where she became the 190th Services Flight Commander. She
served in that role until October 1996, when she became the Commander,
190th Logistics Squadron. December 2000, she assumed command of the
190th Maintenance Squadron where she served until October 2001. In
January 2002 she assumed command of the 190th Support Group.
